I’m a BI analyst at Sicoob, Brazil’s largest credit union, where I build the reports the board uses and the tools around them. I also build web apps, like RedeAgromet, a public weather-data platform that started as my undergraduate research.

More about my background

At Sicoob, that means internal web apps, Python automations and CoopData, an in-house analytics platform now in pilot. Before that, I spent two years as a data analysis and IT governance intern at a brewery.

Projects

From a public weather-data platform to an irrigation prototype, credit‑risk reporting and internal tools for Sicoob, Brazil’s largest credit union.

FEATURED

RedeAgromet

RedeAgromet homepage, in Portuguese: agrometeorological information for the Southern Triângulo Mineiro, beside a photo of a weather station in Frutal.

A public platform that turns data from automatic weather stations in the Southern Triângulo Mineiro into maps, charts and reports. I built it during undergraduate research and still work on it.

Project details

My contribution

I built the whole platform, my first large web system: collecting and checking the station data, the agricultural weather calculations, the public dashboards and the report downloads.

Automatic weather stations send readings to a serverless pipeline (AWS Lambda and EventBridge) that applies WMO-standard quality control. The platform calculates reference evapotranspiration (FAO-56 Penman-Monteith) and growing degree days, then publishes interactive charts, a station map and CSV, XLSX and PDF exports. The project was funded as undergraduate research (FAPEMIG/PAPq) and is still in production.

Results

  • Ran at over 96% station availability, with new data about every 5 minutes. A usability pilot scored 82 out of 100 on the SUS scale.
  • It became my undergraduate thesis and took me to CBAgro 2025 in Porto Alegre as first author.
  • The platform is the subject of my first‑author paper in Revista Agrogeoambiental (2026).

Veranila

Veranila overview screen, in Portuguese: farm weather, a field map with plots and equipment, and an irrigation recommendation.

Tells a farmer when and how much to irrigate, from the weather on their own farm. An interactive prototype from our startup, now in a pre-incubation programme.

Links, media and story

My contribution

I co-founded Veranila and develop the app: the interface, the irrigation calculations, the field map and the 3D equipment views.

A prototype for weather-informed irrigation management, built for farmers who already irrigate. It shows local weather, calculates crop water needs (FAO-56 ET0 and ETc) and recommends when and how much to irrigate, with a field map, 3D equipment models and offline use.

Results

  • Our team placed first (score 96) in the selection for SEBRAE’s Fator S Pré-Acelera, a pre-incubation programme at NIT/UEMG Frutal that runs until December 2026.
  • Designed around one user from the programme’s mentoring: a farmer with irrigation already installed who wants data from their own land, not a regional forecast.

CoperaPrint

A registration and badge-printing system built in-house for an agribusiness trade fair. It takes each attendee from sign-up to a printed badge.

Links, media and story

My contribution

I worked on the system that links the sign-up app, the desktop print agent and the print queue to the event’s badge printers.

Built in-house instead of hiring a vendor. An offline-first Next.js PWA handles registration, and an Electron agent sends raw ZPL to the thermal printers through the Windows spooler. PostgreSQL doubles as the print queue (SELECT … FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED, idempotency keys, lease/heartbeat recovery), with row-level security and LGPD-conscious data handling.

Results

  • At an event of about 5,000 people: 4,973 badges printed, 653 prospects registered and 99.2% uptime.
  • From form submission to printed badge in under 3 seconds.

This portfolio

This portfolio’s home: the name Mateus Lino beside a 3D sun, with the planet strip along the foot.

I designed and built this site: a 3D solar system where each planet holds one part of my work. The content, in English and Portuguese, comes from an editor I also built.

Links, media and story

My contribution

I built the 3D scene, the bilingual content model, the design system and the admin editor in one Next.js application.

React Three Fiber renders the scene: a custom Sun shader with corona and prominences, textured planets and camera movement between sections. Content comes from a Supabase CMS with its own admin panel, protected by row-level security, mandatory TOTP MFA and a strict nonce-based CSP. The design system is built on CVA and Radix primitives, and every section stays readable as plain HTML.

CRI · credit portfolio intelligence

The credit‑risk report I built in Power BI for the credit union where I work, with every page checked against the source data.

Links, media and story

My contribution

I built the Power BI report end to end: the semantic model, the DAX measures, the custom Deneb visuals and the verification tooling.

The report combines Figma-designed layouts, custom Deneb/Vega-Lite visuals and a monthly narrative generated by a locally hosted language model; Playwright tooling checks every page against the source data. Alongside it sits a 10-crate Rust workspace that estimates Expected Credit Loss (PD × LGD × EAD) with IFRS-9-style staging, compares an interpretable baseline with GBDT models and feeds a live WebSocket dashboard. Internal data is described here, never shown.

Results

  • 53 pages, 463 calculations and 26 custom charts, built on a 32-table data model.

CoopData · analytics platform

An in-house analytics platform I designed for the credit union where I work. It is now in pilot as an alternative to the current BI setup.

Links, media and story

My contribution

I designed the platform and presented it to the board, from the Rust data engine to the tools that migrate existing Power BI reports.

Designed to grow beyond BI licensing limits: a Rust core (DataFusion, Arrow Flight SQL, PRQL) over a governed lakehouse, with dashboards, root-cause analysis and AI-assisted narratives. Its migration engine reads Power BI project files and translates measures to PRQL. It comes with CoopSolv, an internal app hub that replaces scattered spreadsheets with versioned, audited web apps.

Results

  • Its migration tool read the 53-page, 463-measure credit‑risk report and translated the measures, matching results to the cent (checked by checksums) with queries under 100 ms.

SCAPOLA · site & CMS

A live website and custom content editor for a communications agency, delivered through UEMG’s junior enterprise. I built about half of it.

Links, media and story

My contribution

As part of the IT team, I worked on the public pages, the protected admin area and the migration from MySQL to Supabase.

The public site has a brand carousel, a blog with categories and a podcast section. Behind it, a protected admin area offers a TipTap rich-text editor, media management and JWT authentication. The data moved from MySQL to Supabase during the project.

IT service analytics & automation

Dashboards, a help-desk integration and governance documents I built for a brewery’s IT department during a two-year internship.

Links, media and story

My contribution

I built the department’s reporting: dashboards for incidents and requests, deliveries, suppliers, licences and user satisfaction, plus SQL analysis of the ticket database.

A Python integration syncs Microsoft Graph with the GLPI service desk. Around the dashboards I produced ITIL/COBIT governance material: to-be BPMN flows, operating procedures and KPI sheets. Internal data stays internal, so this project is described in text only.

A presentation engine that tests its own slides

A presentation engine I built for a board pitch, with tests that check the figures on the slides against a facts file.

Links, media and story

My contribution

I built the GSAP engine, the screenshot-based movie mode and the Playwright test suite.

The engine sequences labelled animation beats and adds a screenshot-driven movie mode with pan and zoom, pointer-driven micro-interactions, presenter notes and an overview grid. It works offline. A Playwright suite guards animation-state invariants and re-derives the numbers shown on the slides from the live DOM, cross-checking them against a facts file.

My contribution

I designed and built it end to end, sound engine and pixel art included.

A free listening room in the browser: binaural tones generated with the Web Audio API, eight ambience layers, five starting moods, a session timer and two pixel companions, Miso and Maple. No account, ads or tracking; your mixes stay on your device. The frequency guide says what the research does and does not support.

Results

  • Released as version 1.0 on 28 September 2026. Keyboard operable, respects reduced motion, and an automated accessibility audit found no WCAG A or AA issues.
